Punk'D!

Well, Ashish certainly isn't one to apologize for his quirky design antics. This exquisite A/W 2009 collection is brewing an assortment of stories & themes, reflections of animal kingdom, inspired by american flag rules unique trousers , cheetah and zebra are prominent in this collection. Oozing with vibrant prints, black, silver, white, turquoise, pink, lemon, cobalt blue, orange, purple, red, hues...so exclusive. Obvious. Everything but short of boring. Clearly a sense 80's rock star influence can't knock it...punk affirming label gives a show inspired by five-star costuming, bold and hyper electric, color textures in a theatrical performance. A showcase of conceptual graphical and enormous talent. Ashish get's an A + for thinking outside the box and for the dramatic, classic & brilliant delivery for London Fashion Week. Give, or take a few away...I see a couple pieces I would give to add to my collection [wardrobe.] x rawk.star image. ♥ it.

Graphic Impulse

Fashion graffiti by AminakaWilmont show that gladiator and graphic warrior do mix together... impulsively to merge a hard-edge and a soft collection for Fall 2009. From the hood caps to the leather wrist/arm armor and the white leather 'spats' to the angular jacket form, and the pocket gathering trousers, to the body-conscious catsuit... it all speaks the same language. The dresses appear spider-web like quite synonymous to the rib-cage fashion trend that started paving it's way for Spring 2009. All of which I support and couldn't be more excited about. Thanks to AminakaWilmont! x

Made in London

Love this editorial entitled "Twilight" for February 2009. I am mostly in ♥ with the concept... I ♥ the photography and the tiered and gathered looks throughout. None other than the fabulous world of London and all of it's trendsetting glory!

London designers > Aminaka and < href="http://www.aminakawilmont.com AminakaWilmont for Spring 2009... by 'sophomore' I mean 'second season'... I am loving the balance of nudes, smoky gray and black. Bravo! A very well constructed collection, simple yet quite detailed in the balance of things. There is a sense of industrial warrior in this collection... that follows suit season by season and with the use of fabrics such as graphic prints, washed leathers, luxurious silks, and wools are emphasized to justify the hard tailoring and soft draping shapes in their androgynous collection.

Boldly Bazaar

Henry Holland takes his design ventures to dominate woman's wear for Fall 2009. Apparently this movement is all about channeling panels, blocks of color, and innovative dress forms... using one sleeved dresses, box and octagon shapes, bold colors layered over white and pastel shades of the same color, like mathematics and geometry... there is a rhythm to his creativity. As oddly as it looks, there are a few pieces I am eying and have a great deal of interest for. My favorite look is the 'blue and white high waist trousers' with the blue fuzzy hat, blue platforms and over-sized bag... Holland always pushes the envelope of bazaar and for him, it seems to be working. x
