Shifting Directions

Instantly. I fell in love with this stunning set of photographic imagery by photographer & mastermind Andrea Massari . Let me count the many ways I can ♥ the range of fluidity and movement this set captures. The styling carries a geographic air...flirting with timeless beauty...holding the artistic composure of black and white photography. It brings subtlety and delicacy in it's ever-inspiring form. Standing alone in it's class and designed with imagination both original and dreamy...this explores the essence of European high fashion. I truly dig this! ♥ x

Stiring Up The Drama

Thank you all for being so dedicated with the follow ♥! i am so thankful for you guys! Here's an oldie but goodie collection I discovered about (4) months ago. Designed by the great Scherer Gonzalez of Berlin for Berlin Fashion Week and covering Fall 2009. Some of these pieces are total goddess gowns and remind me of circa 19th century queen garments.... this collection is very theatrical and is quite the drama story. It is unmistakably channeling my love for "Paper Dolls" back in the late 80's. Does anyone else remember Paper Dolls? ♥

Spastic Graphics

I ♥ Vanessa da Silva's illustrations. She's quite the designer slash graphic artist, a fresh face on the scene... I am mostly pulled in by her boho-inspired collections. She's got a knack for earth girl and 70's-inspired fashion which I'm especially digging on. Da Silva did a spring 2009 collaboration with Topshop UK that consists of tee shirts, capes, and tank tops, all graphically balanced with her own artwork as a staple. Brilliant! You can preview more of her work by visiting her website. X

Hazy Shades of Gray

Brazilian designer Lerario Beatriz has a theme in mind for his resort 2010 collection. This look book is quite gray and washed out yet a rare reflection for a summer look. Although, it's simple and delicate enough to grab my attention. I'm a fan of the denim acid washed jackets very reminiscent of washes from the early 90's and late 80's...of which I am not typically inspired by. However, there is something magnetizing about the faded, over-processed looking imagery in this set. I can appreciate Lerario's design theory, as it isn't too far out there to conceptualize placement in any modern boutique. It's an soft and edgy approach to a resort 2010 collection and the colors remind me a bit of London. All very clean with tons of editorial appeal.

Celebrating the Life of Michael Jackson-

Michael Jackson was elected 1st most charitable human being ever in the Guiness book of world records. May God Bless him and his family. There is a feeling of sadness in my heart at his departure...every childhood musical memory I have is wrapped around the legend that is "MJ." A piece of my life has been etched away and cannot be replaced. It's like a vase that breaks a few times, get's glued back together to then discover the final time that there is no more fixing it. It just is. Sometimes you just have to let things go. I will miss the magical energy of Michael Jackson. I know that in my lifetime, there won't be anyone 'Greater'. If while there was still more time, MJ could have established the very first [ever to exist] android clone of himself...Imagine. Then we could at least live on knowing that Michael Jackson had the capacity to live forever. Yet and still his spirit will always live through his music but now there is a future gap. To hear that Michael Jackson died still doesn't register to my 'general thinking'...it has literally taken me extended days to grasp on the reality that MJ no longer exists in the physical plane. He has moved on having reached his mastered evolution and the highest level of ascension. I believe MJ now has the gift of ultimate peace and infinite bliss, and so I praise his music, and celebrate his life, his gifts, and contributions to humanity... A blessed and enriched life is to have lived knowing you were personally influenced, and affected by the gift of Michael Jackson. Thank you God. May he forever rest in Peace. xxxx we have another angel to add to the 1,111,000. xx
