Discover: "The Fold of Time"

Discover South African designer (currently based in New York) Alexander Koutny and his impeccably layered Spring 2009 collection entitled, "The Fold of Time." This line was inspired by the metaphor of 'people moving through space and time' as his inner motivation. Koutny's pieces are complex, intricate, and utterly brilliant while he meshes various fabrics like silk, lame, organza, and wool in stark black and white colors... in columns, folds, pleats, and angles using geometry and triangular shapes to form structural silhouettes in his garments.
