Miami Vices!

There's a surplus of emphasis on the 1980's for Spring 2009 and Alexander Wang jumps right on plane (of his own) to re-invert a Miami Vice all over again.... His demonstration of capitalizing on the once fashionable era... a colorful collection of cropped tank tops, athletic pants, asymmetrical body-conscious dresses, sequenced blazers, and mesh tops, cut-out wrap dresses... all worn with ankle-length platforms. These platforms I've pre-touched on this topic last fall. I am falling head over heels with the swinging fringes, and the ankle cuffs, and the chain details.. I am really feeling Wang's confidence in creating a collection that can be just as athletic as it can be sexy.. Here are some of the fleeting highlights.....
