This darling editorial in Elle Magazine masters an 80's inspired look-book playing homage to fashion and pop culture as well as cartoons! My fondest memory of Mickey Mouse is built around images of fantasy and fashion collectively influenced by polka-dots, black, white, and red, and girlie bow ties. This fashion story features designers from: Moschino, Dolce and Gabbana, Paul and Joe, and Fendi styled in a Micky Mouse themed spread worn by adorable Russian model Angelika Kocheva. ♥

Black Minimalism ♥

Let's see with fashion, the colour black tends to hold the strongest count for classic and timelessness. Basic black meets gothic meets black on black to lead to something spectacular for this minimalistic spread in Marie Claire Italy. Loving the sculptural elements in the styling. Credits to designers such as: La Perla, Max Mara, Alexander Wang, and Nina Ricci with the soaring platforms. My favorite attire focus: the shoulders, the exaggerated hips on the bodysuit, and the platforms. Extraordinary collaboration! ♥

Let Loose Video - Tah Mac

Let's bring back good music that makes people feel good all over again! This video, "Let Loose" is a super dope hiphop/rock collaboration between Tah Mac & British Guitarist Neil Sinclair [channeling a modern day Slash] Yet, in my opinion kills it with an edge that separates him from any other rock guitarist. What I appreciate most about this record is its ability to restore a global faith in feel-good hiphop classics. The message in this record is about bringing back an original recipe for GOOD music that has somehow become a lost language. The 'Let Loose' video directed & edited by Dan Dowding of Escape-Entertainment, was filmed at Venice beach in Los Angeles CA. This video is undeniably one of greatest sensations recorded this summer! Taken from the concept album "Welcome 2 Tahland" by the Brooklyn-based rap sensation, Tah mac this is a record that unites international hiphop lovers grabbing their attention and keeping them fully entertained! Attributed to the legacy of original hiphop music and wordplay, I'd say Tah Mac has a real problem on his hands! Creative direction and styling by the one and only Styliiista Enjoy! ♥ x

Young Love

Recent graduate from Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design, Eva Nyiri newly implements her mark on the fashion world by way of space and futurism. This collection, entitled, “Black on Black“ was inspired by Ancient Samurai armor and modern Transformers. Nyiri, a young Hungarian designer hopes to continue to develop her next collection based on the success of this one. Her direction is solely fluid, innovative, and quite structural in appearance with removable pieces to create a complete radical approach. Her imagination creates an unlimited design thesis off which to build, and I hope to see more avant garde collections in the future! ♥

There's a sensual essence to this glamorous fashion series. Interview Magazine features a spread part dominatrix and part high fashion blended together to create accentuation's to the delicate female form. The subtle curves around her body melt into a black vs. white backdrop of shadows and contrasting. Makes for a visually stimulating experience. ♥ x

Forward Complexites

Dazed & Confused truly showcases examples of avant garde editorials. The sequenced fish scale dress is original on its own but paired with geometry inspired footwear makes the image pop as majority of the story is black and white...with a few hints of colour. Apparently this spread is all about geometry, and novel shapes. Dazzling work! ♥

Give Back - Tah Mac & Mutya Buena Video

In the state of these economical times, with the many global crisis's we've all faced as a whole, this video couldn't be more timely. I tip my hat to Tah Mac and Mutya Buena for this soulful and heartwarming collaboration. Although this song was recorded nearly 4 years ago, it holds a deep relevance to right now. There is something in this video, and in the spirit of it, for everyone. I am the stylist/costumer for the creative side to the video and the overall image direction.
