"Everywhere Kiss Me"

An ode to the rather consistent 1980's trend of polka-dots, denim jackets, bodysuits and leather... highlighted in April's Issue of I-D Magazine. Giles get's the gold star in this story as the headgear leader. With a soft pink Pac-man inspired helmet as the elected essence behind the building of this "Everywhere Kiss Me" editorial... There is no denying it's power to amuse the senses here. Let's see, we have a seductive fashion series to tease the imagination in curiosity to the theme. Got to ♥ the steamy headline, and the exposed skin... and my personal favorite aside from the Pac-man accessory is the lighting in the shots captured. It reminds me of a time when photographer's shot in film, rather than digital. I love the grainy effect, and the rawness of these images. It takes us back to the 80's for real, in more than just the image itself. A super thought-provoking package here. x

Not Your Average Knitter

Sandra Backlund is at it again, with her brilliant sense of innovation and design. She is one of the dopest knitwear designers in the world of global fashion design... This I gather, as you can bear witness consistency season after season. Her collections continue to achieve favoritism...She is a master at creating her pieces one brick at a time. Backlund sculpts with mastery by way of 'losing control' in order to design at a field impossible. This theory is used to challenge a rather average bubble of imagination, by applying her own formula. The fact that she implements her curiosity of shape and uses it to her advantage deserves utmost recognition. Check her out!

♥ Rodarte ♥

One of my Fall 2009 favorites is Rodarte. I am fully engaged in the splendor of this beautifully constructed knitwear collection. Thus, it's quite mandatory to press the Rodarte observations & sponsor it's genius presentation. Personally, I require the mummified (thigh-high) boots & woven neck scarves. wow! ♥

In a Perfect World...

Thierry Mugler Fall 2009 collection channels 18th century costuming for Paris Fashion Week menswear. I ♥ it with my heart of hearts. It is a fluctuation of fantasy & modern day streetwear. We can all search all of the fashion street-style blogs of the world and find people in Paris, Stockholm, Russia, and other European countries dressed to the nines in everyday life. Yet in a perfect world, style such as this would be a requisite as a streetwear standard... and I cannot help but lay on the admiration. This collection captures the definition of style. ♥

To Love-Lust

To love-lust is to suddenly find a spectacular reason to gauge your entire attention span on one thing... even if for only a moment. Here in the beckoning of my visual obsession I bring to you... Pringle of Scotland Spring 2009 Accessories. I firmly believe that accessories are paramount to every outfit. And these (2) pieces would make my life complete... as in "i wish to add these to my wardrobe one day soon" list. I have conjured up a lovely list to remind myself that for now, I will have to just dream of them. I've learned the simple rules of purchases and I respect them. 1. Everything moves in a circle. 2. Fashion trends sometimes are simply trends and not always wearable season after season. 3. There is a time and a season for everything. So with that being said, for now, let us all simply admire Pringle of Scotland together. All together now. x

IT on My Mind

Alexander Wang is ferociously at it again. I cannot simply put it into words. It just is. When I refer to 'it' I am referring to his collection. Wang is always up to something sneaky and it just IS. Here are a few of my favorite highlights of his Fall 2009 RTW show... which will eventually lead up to more references of his collection before Fall approaches. After all, it *is* just too hot to miss! I will certainly do another re-post. *kiss*

I Heart 1960's

Well, I must say first and foremost that Philip Lim has done damage for his Fall 2009 RTW collection. There is a hint of cabaret et lady marmalade in the mash up of colors and textures from burgundy to gold presented here. Then to the stark black solids and mixture of florals and mega print from plaids to stripes to solids it is all seemingly focused even if there is a 1960's channeling happening here. I adore the shag bobs, so blunt and truly fresh additions to the show... and lastly my ultimate favorite, the painfully fly platform collection. I am not sure which piece I ♥ more... perhaps I secretly wish I was bold enough to chop my hair in this cut. In the meantime, I shall swoon over these interpretations.... *muah*

These Boots Were Made For Walkin

Rodarte officially steals the limelight in this boot design. All up and down the catwalks for Fall 2009, and let me tell you... I heart this leather wrapped up mummy thigh high boot more than I can possibly explain. See the detailing below.... this beige leather color is simply decadent.

Love & Sex & Magic

So tell me, what do you think of Ciara's new look? This video "Love & Sex & Magic" is too fly... The Art Direction is on point, the lighting, shadow effects, and of course the choreography is *always* slamming. Beautiful articulation to Ciara's stylist... ♥ the striking goddess energy. Ciara is all grown and sexy now. Great transformation!

New Innocence

,Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel presents this gorgeously wrapped couture package for Spring 2009 in a quite remarkable way. The art direction wrapped into this instillation is sure dreamy. The simple touches are what complete this set for me, such as the applique floral details. An inspirational set with an ethereal quality, amidst these uncertain economical times... providing a fresh and emerging balance. My imagination draws towards the ray of light feeling in the sky... that is constructed of etched lacquered hearts and clouds made of floral rose shapes... the headpieces are equally stunning. This spring season is all about pale prints, and washed-out floral silks to re-create a new innocense. I ♥ this.

Must Have ♥ Bags

Discover: (top) Diamond Heart Bag £25 & (bottom) Union Jack Hard Heart Bag £25. These (2) handbags are too fly. I generally don't buy non-designer label handbags but these ones are too darling to pass up. I think I may go buy one since I am in London, currently. ;-) And these are perfect to add to the collection.
